Holy Cross Primary School is set on the beautiful grounds of the former Hillendale Monastery. The new addition of the multi-purpose hall compliments the existing school facilities by offering a versatile gathering and performance space. The position of the hall and supporting kitchen and ablution building creates a wind sheltered, covered outdoor space that extends from the existing school building.
The bold green structural elements were inspired by the bright green colour of sprouting fynbos in the valley below and incorporated to express the structure and create a sense of excitement for learners.
