We were approached by GADRA Education to assist with partial services for alterations and refurbishment of a dilapidated with heritage value into a further education matric finishing school.
It was important to preserve and celebrate the historical character of the building. Externally this included restoring the building facade and replacing the windows with new aluminium windows that retained the same historic character of the existing. Some of the walls in the building had to be rebuilt due to structural damage caused by weather and a fully matured tree growing through the wall.
Internally, all the new requirements for the school have been accommodated within the existing footprint.
